Eviction Agent Tells Homeowners It’s Time to Move

The real estate agent Joseph Laubinger, right, persuaded Blanca Sanchez and Israel Lopez to leave a house they used to own. On behalf of the company holding the mortgage, he gave them a check for $1,800 as relocation assistance, or “cash for keys.”

When a resident won’t leave a foreclosed house, a real estate agent comes knocking to persuade them to leave.
